Ironwork, cast brass, height 260 cm

The outer shape is a a composition of approx. 250 cast iron elements, the shapes of which are derived from the various developments of script (among others, Mesopotamia’s script).

The whole is galvanized and forms a visual connection with the inner sphere that is cast in brass. The brass sphere is “protected” by an outer shield and reflects the outer shield and the surroundings.

The object is an autonomous piece of art as well as a reference to the library and forms a unity with its surroundings.
To further imbue the village center with the artwork, cast iron tiles were placed into the pavement in 5 different places in a radius of the main object.

Through the reflection of the inner sphere in relation to the outer shield, an interconnected environment is created.
