Entrance Rozenoord Amstelpark

The Amstelpark in Amsterdam has 5 entrances. 5 artists were asked to design and execute an entrance as a work of art.

This entrance, Rozenoord, is situated near the Amsteldijk.

The steelwork connects to the water. In the middle a cylinder shaped fence, a tourniquet, rotates around its axis. The tourniquet has 3 wings and is executed in cast aluminium. The colors, peacock blue and yellow, are taken from nature.

The other entrances are made by Joost Conijn, Krijn de Koning, Stefan Strauss and Wim Poppinga.
